EaglesCove, Pender Island is a low bank oceanfront residence situated on fenced and landscaped grounds of more than two-thirds of an acre. There is a spectacular year round garden. EaglesCove, Pender Island is in the newly created Gulf Island National Park Reserve. This property is located in the village of Port Washington just above the Grimmer Bay public dock on North Pender Island. The Penders (North and South) are considered to be amongst the lushest and most interesting of the Canadian Gulf Islands. | |||

The main house was completed in 1992. Designed by John Keay, a prominent Victoria, B.C., architect, the glass and cedar residence is situated to take full advantage of the breathtaking views. A large south facing deck with glass railings and a stainless steel barbeque provide an outdoor living room. Inside, the great room boasts sixteen foot vaulted ceilings with plenty of space for gracious living and dining. There is a sound system with CD player and speakers in three rooms. The seating area has a stone fireplace and the dining room table can comfortably seat ten. The kitchen has a Jenn-Air electric range, a very large refridgerator, a microwave, and a stainless steel European dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer in the adjoining pantry. |

The largest bedroom, with a queen size bed, is located close to the kitchen yet enjoys the privacy of being across a breezeway in a separate annex. It has a walk-in closet, a television and VCR, and an Italian tiled four piece bathroom. Downstairs, the lower level contains a bedroom with a double bed, a four piece bathroom, and a family room with a large television and VCR. The downstairs family room has a double hide-a-bed. There is also a double hide-a-bed in the booklined study. The study has a private deck off French doors. This oceanfront deck connects to a north facing deck that receives a good deal of use on hot summer days. The property also features a hot tub, located on its own deck, the same model American Hot Springs Spa used at the White House. |

EaglesCove, Pender Island is five minutes from the Otter Bay Ferry Terminal and two minutes from the Pender Island Golf and Country Club. If you come to Pender by seaplane or by boat you can walk to it from the dock in one minute. Shops and the Saturday Market at the Driftwood Centre are reached by automobile in a short ten minute drive. There are boat and kayak rentals, car rentals, hiking trails, beaches, and tennis courts all available on North Pender. Meals out can be enjoyed at several places on North and South Pender. |
